Working in an office can be great fun but you will be required to look professional at all times. This restricts your choice in hosiery because it’s important to look professional but also fashionable. So which types of tights are the most practical for wearing if you work in an office?

Most offices are still fairly conservative; this means that you will need to cover your legs somehow if you decide not to wear trousers. Make sure you think about the practicality of whatever you are wearing. Stockings may look fantastic however they can be fiddly if you have to go to the toilet. This can make toilet trips take much longer which could end up getting you in trouble. You will also need to be very careful that you don’t accidentally snag these stockings. If you put a ladder in your tights then this will damage the tights for the rest of the day. Make sure you take some clear nail varnish around with you just in case you put a runner in your tights.

You will also need to consider the season when choosing the tights to wear. During the winter months then black opaque tights will be a popular option because they provide much more warmth. During the summer however most women will choose to wear stockings simply because they are cooler. If you do want to wear tights then make sure you choose thin deniers so that you don’t get too hot. Even if your office is air conditioned it’s very easy to get too hot and uncomfortable when wearing pantyhose.

There is no right or wrong answers when choosing what to wear at the office. It all depends on your own personal preferences and you will need to give it some careful consideration. Of course also understand that different offices have different rules regarding what you can wear.
